In short
- The content of your notifications never leaves your phone. There is no server, no account and no cloud sync.
- All classification and personalisation run locally, on the device, offline.
- Records live only in the app’s local database, are capped by a retention window you choose (7, 30 or 90 days) and are erased when you uninstall the app.
- The only third party is Google AdMob, which serves the ads and never receives any notification content.
LuckyhanStudio (“we”) develops Notification Manager (the “App”, Android package com.luckyhan.studio.notificationmanager). This policy explains what the App does with your data, what it stores, and what it does not do. It is short because the App collects very little: it has no backend of its own.
1. How the App uses your notifications
With your explicit permission, the App uses Android’s notification access (BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE) to read notifications posted by other apps on your device. Each notification is assigned a category — such as promotion, delivery, payment, security, one-time passcode, message, call or reminder — by a small classifier that runs entirely on your phone.
The App then applies your policy: important notifications stay in the shade and are tracked until you mark them done; low-value ones are recorded and quietly cleared; unwanted ones are cleared immediately into a separate blocked log. The App also re-notifies you about important items you have not completed, supports snoozing, and remembers your choices so it does not ask twice.
None of this involves a network request. Notification content is read, classified and stored on the device and is never transmitted anywhere — not to us, and not to any third party.
2. What is stored on your device
The App keeps a local database containing, for each notification it processes: the source app’s name and package, the notification title and text, the time it arrived, the assigned category and confidence, the applied policy, and whether you have completed, snoozed or dismissed it. It also stores the rules and preferences you set (per-app and per-category policies, reminder cadence, retention window, language and theme).
This database is held in the App’s private storage area, which other apps cannot read. We have no access to it, because it never leaves your phone.
3. What we do not collect
We do not operate a server for this App, and we do not collect, transmit, sell or share any of the following:
- The content, titles or senders of your notifications
- Your name, email address, phone number or contacts
- Any account — the App has no sign-up and no login
- Your location
- Your list of installed apps as a profile sent off the device
- Usage analytics — there is no analytics SDK in the App
4. Permissions the App requests
- Notification access (
BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE) — required to read and clear notifications from other apps. You grant it yourself in Android Settings and can revoke it there at any time; the App stops processing immediately when you do. - Post notifications — so the App can send you its own reminders about important items.
- Alarms — so snoozes and re-notifications still fire after a reboot.
- Internet — used only to load advertisements. It is never used to send your notification data.
5. Advertising
The App shows advertisements through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process device and advertising identifiers, coarse device information and ad interaction data. Google acts as an independent controller for that data; its privacy policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
AdMob never receives the content of your notifications, your records, or your rules. The advertising SDK and the notification pipeline share no data.
Where required — in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — consent for personalised advertising is collected through Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) the first time you launch the App. You can review, change or withdraw that consent at any time from Settings → Privacy / Ad settings inside the App, which reopens the same consent form. Withdrawing consent does not remove ads; it makes them non-personalised.
6. Retention and deletion
Notification records are kept only for the retention window you choose in Settings → Retention: 7, 30 or 90 days, with 30 days as the default. Records older than the window are deleted automatically on the next cleanup pass, and shortening the window applies to existing records too.
You can also clear history and the blocked log from within the App at any time. Uninstalling the App deletes its entire local database. Because we hold no copy of anything, there is nothing for you to request from us and nothing for us to delete on our side.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in the EEA and the UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California — you have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and objection over personal data. For the data this App handles, those rights are exercised directly on the device: everything is in your hands, visible in the App and removable by you. For advertising data held by Google, please use the controls described in section 5 and Google’s own privacy tools.

8. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that concerns you, please contact us and we will help.
9. Security
Because the App keeps everything on the device and sends nothing to a server, the main protection for your data is Android itself: app-private storage and device encryption. We recommend keeping a screen lock enabled and your system up to date.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page with a new “last updated” date. Material changes will also be signalled in the App.
